Course Description: This 10-day virtual course will take Division Chiefs who possess the drive and desire to become DFMWRs in the next five years to the next level. The course covers topics including strategic planning/communication, financial management, NAF major/minor construction, and personnel management. Using a functional, interactive approach, students will experience the everyday life of a DFMWR across various multi-divisional scenarios.
This course will be delivered in a distance learning format, to include live virtual sessions. Dates/times of live virtual sessions are TBD. Enrollment instructions will be sent to IMCOM Directorates for DFMWRs to nominate students to attend.
Course Details:
- Target Audience: Sitting, experienced Family and MWR Division Chiefs, including ACS Directors, CYS Coordinators, Business Operations Division Chiefs, Recreation Division Chiefs (BRD included), and NAF Support Division Chiefs, or persons performing similar duties are the target audience.
- Prerequisites: Welcome to Family and MWR Orientation Course (Online), Family and MWR Basic Management Course(Online), Operation Excellence – Online or Classroom Customer Service Training, Applied Financial Planning Suite (Online) (Income Statement Analysis; Breakeven Analysis; Retail Sales Accountability;Forecasting); Entering Budgeting Data into Financial Management Budget System (FMBS) (Online), and Family and MWR Budgeting Process (Online) are required prior to being selected.
