2016 Exemplary Workforce Development Award Winners

… and they are: Fort Belvoir, Fort Bragg, Fort Knox, USAG Hawaii, USAG Rheinland Pfalz and AFRC Hale Koa.

The IMCOM Installation Management Academy, MG Robert M. Joyce School for Family and MWR is pleased to announce the recipients of the FY16 Family and MWR Exemplary Workforce Development Award.  This award recognizes Family and MWR organizations that have demonstrated a strong commitment to professional development.

Outstanding submissions were received by all Garrisons and AFRC’s.  Scoring was very close this year and the panel had their work cut out for them.  The six award recipients demonstrated:  (1) a strategic plan for their organization’s professional development; (2) a DFMWR/AFRC GM “walking the talk” by completing professional development in the last year and applying it to improve their organization; (3) a robust Professional Development Program with approved individual development plans (IDP) across their workforce and innovative practices to support staff development; (4) a comprehensive employee onboarding program integrated across all levels of the organization; and (5) completions of School for Family and MWR virtual courses.

The six Family and MWR award recipients’ submissions will be showcased on our website: www.imcomacademy.com.  The winners are eligible to receive grant reimbursement up to $2,000 for costs associated with non-appropriated fund employee development.  In addition, they will receive a beautiful trophy to proudly display and training sessions conducted by School for Family and MWR faculty.
